Dog Policy

We love welcoming four-legged guests to Tally Ho Meadow and want dogs and their owners to enjoy a relaxing stay in the meadow.

To help us keep our pods beautiful, protect our wildlife and ensure everyone can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, we kindly ask dog owners to follow a few simple guidelines.

  • Dogs must be included on your booking so that we know they are joining you and can have everything ready for their arrival.

  • Dogs should be house-trained, well behaved and under control throughout their stay.

  • Please keep dogs on a lead in shared areas of Tally Ho Meadow. We are surrounded by countryside and wildlife, and there may also be other guests and dogs on site.

  • Please pick up after your dog immediately around the pods, paths, parking areas and meadow, and dispose of waste responsibly.

  • Dogs must not enter or swim in the wildlife pond. The pond has been created for biodiversity and drainage and is not suitable for swimming.

  • Dogs must never enter the hot tub. Please also take care around the hot tub and fire pit areas.

  • Please do not allow dogs on beds, sofas or other furniture.

  • To help your dog settle in comfortably, we provide a cosy dog bed, food and water bowl, and a microfibre towel for muddy paws.

  • Your dog will also receive a small welcome box containing poo bags, treats and a little toy to help them feel at home.

  • Please use the dog towel provided for muddy paws rather than the pod towels or bed linen.

  • Dogs should not be left unattended in the pod.

  • Please be considerate of other guests and do not allow persistent barking or behaviour that may disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the meadow.

  • Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times and for any damage or exceptional additional cleaning caused during their stay. Any applicable costs will be dealt with in accordance with our Booking Terms & Conditions.

  • Please let us know before arrival if there is anything we can reasonably do to make your dog’s stay more comfortable.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are very welcome at Tally Ho Meadow. They are not treated as pets, and we will make reasonable adjustments for guests who require an assistance dog.

Thank you.

Most importantly, we want you and your dog to relax and enjoy your time here. There are some lovely countryside walks nearby and plenty of new smells to investigate.

Thank you for helping us look after the meadow, our wildlife and our beautiful pods.
